What does a dream about rows of partly buried cats and dogs mean?

I had a dream that is bothering me. I was walking around a run down house that seemed like a run of the mill "run down house". I looked at the ground an noticed that i was walking on top of hundred of partially buried kittens and puppies. this disturbed me as to why and how they all got there. i felt repulsed and woke up disturbed.
